Mohawk Advertising students have won gold for seven consecutive years and have won 31 CMA awards overall. </p><p><strong>Gold: </strong>Marco Buchar, Scott Rodgerson, Erikson Melton, Shawn Walton (coached by Jef Petrossi)</p><p><strong>Silver:</strong> Osman Rahmani, Eric Williamson (coached by Jef Petrossi)</p><p><strong>Bronze:</strong> Desiree Boucher, Samantha Mujdrica, and Andria Ramelli (coached by Janice Warren)</p><p>The CMA awards gala topped off an award-winning month for Mohawk Advertising students who also had sevens winners at the Applied Arts AACE Awards and four winners at the Ad and Design Club of Canada's Awards night in November. </p>]]></description><category><![CDATA[Ad and Design Club of Canada,Advertising program,Advertising students,Applied ARts AACE Awards,Canadian Marketing Association Awards,Uncategorized]]></category>

Spectators will be able to tweet during the dodgeball tournament at <a title="Directions to Ancaster High School" href="http://schools.hwdsb.on.ca/ancasterhigh/" target="_blank">Ancaster High School</a> and influence play on the court. The team of Ruth Cachero, Yan Chaymann, Sarah Quinto and Jennifer Rienties won gold in the Student Creative category for their WebStream campaign. Algonquin College won silver and bronze.<br />

The Mohawk team of Tara Bryk, Kayla Ciccone and Kirstie Ciccone won silver in the Student Marketing category for their SickKids Foundation campaign. No gold award was presented in the category, with St. Lawrence College winning bronze.<br />

The students were coached by Advertising faculty Janice Warren and Jeff Petrossi, who won an Association of Canadian Community College's Teaching Excellence Award earlier this year.<br />

The second-year students worked with Sean Ohlenkamp, an associate&#160;creative director at Lowe Roche advertising agency, on the pro bono project.&#160;The video, which shows books coming to life once the&#160;store closes,&#160;was shot&#160;over four nights&#160;in November at the store from&#160;6 p.m. to 10 a.m. The video has gone viral and been&#160;featured on <a href="http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/Entertainment/20120112/sean-ohlenkamp-120112/" target="_blank" title="Go to CTV News">CTV</a> and in <a href="http://www.theatlantic.com/video/archive/2012/01/theres-a-party-in-this-bookstore-and-youre-not-invited/251268/" target="_blank" title="Read the story in The Atlantic">The Atlantic</a>, <a href="http://www.quillandquire.com/blog/index.php/2012/01/10/meet-sean-ohlenkamp-creator-of-the-viral-video-the-joy-of-books/" target="_blank" title="Read the Quill & Quire story">Quill & Quire</a> and <a href="http://www.thespec.com/news/local/article/653040--video-the-joy-of-books" target="_blank" title="Read the Hamilton Spectator story">The Hamilton Spectator</a>.</p>]]></description><category><![CDATA[Advertising students,Mohawk College,Sean Ohlenkamp,The Joy of Books,Type Books,Uncategorized]]></category>
