HAMILTON (Jan. 5, 2015) - Mohawk College begins the new year with two new vice presidents leading academic programs and corporate services.<br />
<br />
Dr. Christine Bradaric-Baus is Mohawk’s new Vice President Academic. A McMaster University graduate with a PhD in Chemistry, Dr. Bradaric-Baus previously served as Dean, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Technology at Seneca College and Dean of Niagara College’s Technology Division. Dr. Bradaric-Baus, a Stoney Creek resident, joined Mohawk on Jan. 5.<br />
<br />
Deborah Brown is Mohawk’s new Vice President Corporate Services. A graduate of Ryerson University’s School of Journalism, the Ivey School of Business’s Executive Program and the Rotman Director Education Program, Brown served 15 years in the Ontario public service in leadership roles that included acting Chief Administrative Officer and Assistant Deputy Minister, as well as several director positions.  Brown, a Burlington resident, joined Mohawk on Dec 1.<br />

“We’re proud to have Christine and Deborah join Mohawk College,” says President Ron McKerlie.  “Deborah and Christine are highly experienced and well-respected leaders who will work alongside faculty and staff to make Mohawk a great place to learn and work.”<br />

Dr. Bradaric-Baus and Brown join Wayne Poirier, Vice President of Student Services, and Trish Loomis, Director of the President’s Office, on Mohawk’s Executive Group.<br />
<br />
Mohawk educates and serves more than 22,000 full-time, part-time, apprenticeship and international students at three campuses in Hamilton, Ontario. For the past four years, Mohawk has ranked number one in overall student satisfaction among all colleges in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.<br />

HAMILTON (Dec. 3, 2014) – Deborah Brown has joined Mohawk College as its Vice President, Corporate Services.<br />
<br />
Brown started in her new role on December 1. She brings a wealth of experience to the position as an accomplished executive in different leadership positions across the Ontario government, including most recently as Acting Chief Administrative Officer and Assistant Deputy Minister at Treasury Board Secretariat. She has a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, improving and sustaining positive client and peer relationships, improving employee engagement results, and creating a positive workplace culture.<br />
<br />
In addition to serving in several high-profiles roles as a civil servant, Brown is also the provincial appointee to the Tarion Board of Directors, and has served on the Boards of the Travel Industry Council of Ontario and the Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan.<br />
<br />
As Mohawk’s Vice President Corporate Services, Brown is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the college, including business planning and reporting, financial management, facilities, procurement, human resources, information technology and emergency management.<br />
