Mohawk College earns high marks from students, graduates and employers

For the fourth consecutive year, Mohawk has ranked number one for overall student satisfaction among all colleges in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and among the top three of Ontario's largest colleges.

Other Mohawk highlights from the 2013-14 Key Performance Indicator (KPI) survey include:

90.7 per cent employer satisfaction score

85.5 per cent graduate employment rate

77 per cent student satisfaction score (77.2 per cent for Mohawk's apprenticeship students)

Nearly 7,500 Mohawk students completed the Province's KPI survey in February. Since 1998, the provincial KPIs have been gathered annually by two independent research firms for the colleges and for the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

The Hamilton Spectator has this story about Mohawk's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results. Students ranked Mohawk first in overall student satisfaction among Ontario's eight largest colleges, including all colleges in the Greater Toronto and Hamlton Area. The student satisfaction score (82%) was the highest for Mohawk since the Ontario government introduced the KPI survey in 1999. The score was also the 3rd highest among Ontario's 24 colleges. Mohawk finished 2nd overall for quality of services and facilities.

Key Performance Indicator Survey starts Monday at Mohawk College

More than 8,300 Mohawk students will be completing their Key Performance Indicator (KPI) survey in class starting this Monday. Students at all 24 Ontario colleges will be taking the provincially mandated survey. Results, to be released later this Spring, will posted on both the Ontario government and Mohawk websites for review by prospective students and employers. In last year's KPI survey, students ranked Mohawk number one among all colleges in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area for quality of learning and programs, facilities and services and overall student and graduate satisfaction.
