The Gravenhurst Banner has this story on Mohawk College Enterprise's (MCE) Future Ready Leadership program. Employees from the District of Muskoka recently participated in the program which includes a day-long leadership forum. Muskoka is one of a growing list of municipalities and organizations, including Mohawk College, who are sending employees to the popular leadership training program.

"We went looking for a local educational institution that we could have a long-term relationship with," says Maple Leaf's Maria Clark. "We wanted a long-term commitment, not just a one-shot deal and Mohawk has a good reputation for this kind of training."

Niagara this Week has this story about Mohawk College Enterprise's (MCE) role in the development of a strategic plan for the municipality of West Lincoln. MCE began working with West Lincoln last fall, doing interviews with staff and council members, and will be helping the municipality draft a 10-year strategic plan that will go before council for approval this March.

Simcoe.com has this story about the Future Ready Leaders symposium hosted earlier this week by the Town of Innisfil and Mohawk College Enterprise. The program helps local governments build and enhance administrative leadership. Mayors, chief administrative officers, deputy mayors and human resources directors from 15 of Simcoe County's municipalities took part. The Barrie Examiner also reported on the symposium.
