                        <title>Changes to OSAP for Fall 2012</title>

<p>New and returning students who are receiving OSAP for the 2012-13 school year no longer need to come to the College to pick up their OSAP loans and grant.</p><br />
<p>Effective immediately, you will be prompted to print your Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA) with your signature pages upon completing your application for OSAP. Simply print out the MSFAA and take it to a Canada Post Office/Outlet for processing. Make sure to get all required signatures on your signature pages and drop them off at the Square (Fennell Campus) or the Student Services Office at a Mohawk campus near you.</p><br />
<p>This is the new way for you to receive your OSAP funds.</p><br />

<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Fennell Campus</span></strong></p><br />
<p>OSAP loan release is<strong>&#160;</strong>in the MSA Student Centre, room G08 (across from the Campus Grill).&#160; Please check your OSAP status on-line at&#160;<a href="http://osap.gov.on.ca/" target="_blank">http:///osap.gov.on.ca</a>&#160;to see if it has been issued on or before <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">January 8, 2012.</span></strong></p><br />
<p>If your loan has been issued by the Ministry, you can pick up your loan document in Room G08, MSA Student Centre.&#160; We are now seeing students on a drop-in basis, between 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.&#160; You do not have to make an appointment to pick up your loan.&#160; Please bring your Mohawk College student card, your Social Insurance card (SIN) and your government issued photo ID to pick up your loan document.</p><br />
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Satellite Campuses</span></strong></p><br />
<p>OSAP loan pick-up for students studying at Brantford, IAHS and STARRT campuses will be at their campus’ Student Services office. &#160;Please check your OSAP status on-line at <a href="http://osap.gov.on.ca/" target="_blank">http:///osap.gov.on.ca</a>&#160;to see if it has been issued on or before <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">January 8, 2012</span></strong>.</p><br />

                        <title>Message to all Mohawk College Students: What you need to know during the strike</title>

The strike affects about 370 full-time Support Staff at Mohawk College.</p><br />
<p>Here’s what you need to know:</p><br />
<p><strong>Mohawk is open for business.</strong></p><br />
<ul><br />
<li>All of Mohawk College’s campuses will remain open during the strike and faculty will continue to teach students in all programs, including Continuing Education<strong>.</strong></li><br />
<li>Orientation Day will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 6. <a href="http://www.mohawkcollege.ca/student-engagement/orientation.html" target="_blank" title="Click to find out more about Orientation at Mohawk">Check the Welcome Guide</a>.</li><br />
<li>Classes will start on Wednesday, Sept. 7.</li><br />
</ul><br />
<p><strong>Key services are available.</strong></p><br />
<ul><br />
<li>Students can still register for classes. </li><br />
<li>Please make use of the college’s online tools for tasks such as registration.&#160; This will help prevent long delays.</li><br />
<li>Students can pick up their OSAP loans Monday to Friday, 9 – 4 from room G08 in the MSA Student Centre.&#160; Satellite campus loans will also be distributed from this location only.</li><br />
<li>The Square at the Fennell Campus will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for evening programs.</li><br />
<li>All three campus bookstores are open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, and will closed Saturday and Sunday, and Labour Day.</li><br />
<li>All campuses and service areas will have hours of operation and lists of available services posted for students to review. </li><br />

<li>Wired connections will still be available at all campuses.</li><br />
