Tech Talks schedule for Monday, Oct. 31 to Friday, Nov. 4

Tech Talks take place Mondays to Fridays at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Toolbox, located across from the entrance to the Cummings Library. Below is the schedule for Monday, Oct. 31 – Friday, Nov. 4:

5 Tools to Get Your Creative Juices Flowing

Monday: Aviary Phoenix – pictures are worth a thousand words with this online equivalent to Photoshop.

Tuesday: Aviary Myna – create, arrange and remix music with this free audio tool.

Wednesday: Animoto – turn your photos and video clips into slideshows in minutes.

Thursday: Screenr – create a video tutorial using this web-based screen recorder.

Friday: Photosynth – easily create and share a 3D image slideshow using your iPhone or iPad.

Drop by the ToolBox this week to discover free creative tools for adding images, videos or slideshows to your next assignment.

Tech Talks @ the ToolBox: Monday, Oct. 17 – Friday, Oct. 21
(11:30 am, 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm)

Drop by the ToolBox this week for some tech tips to help with projects, presentations, exam prep and more! (big yellow room outside library in H-wing)

Monday: Quizlet – Create flashcard sets with your own terms and definitions or choose from millions of flashcard sets created by other users.

Tuesday: Zoho Show – web based presentation tool also allows users to easily share and collaborate on presentations.

Wednesday: Prezi – a cloud-based presentation software that opens up a new world between whiteboards and slides.

Thursday: Zoho Projects –an online project management software with collaboration and bug tracking that allows project teams to collaborate and get work done faster.

Friday: MindMeister – web-based collaborative mind mapping software for brainstorming and project management.

Get your Tech Talks daily at the ToolBox! (big yellow room outside library in H-wing)

How it works: You want to attend a 10-minute Tech Talk in the ToolBox. Drop by for a talk at 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, or 1:30 each day. Each day = different Tech Talk topic.

Wednesday, Oct 12th – Evernote (study smarter – organize notes, save web pages and documents, record audio notes and then sync it all to your Smartphone)

Thursday, Oct 13^th – Dropbox (online document storage – sync between devices and access them from any computer)

Friday, Oct 14^th – TitanPad (collaborate and edit documents online)
