Mohawk one of Canada’s top social colleges

Mohawk is one of Canada’s most social colleges according to Ottawa-based media monitoring service MediaMiser.

The company used its analytics software to monitor and analyse which Canadian colleges were most popular in the social media realm. According to the report, Mohawk is the second most influential college in Canada taking 14% of the overall voice on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. The number one spot is held by Algonquin with 22% and close behind Mohawk in third is the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) with 13%.

Mohawk topped the list for Facebook Likes with more than 40,000 Likes, followed by George Brown with 37,000 and Algonquin with 35,000. When it comes to Twitter it’s Algonquin that takes the lead with more than 19,000 Followers and Retweet Reach that tops 1.4 million. Mohawk is number three in total retweets at 1,263, trailing NAIT with 2,280 and Algonquin with 2,018.
