$87,400 and counting for Mohawk Cares bursary awards

More than $87,000 was raised within 48 hours for the newly created Mohawk Cares bursary awards. The awards will help reduce tuition costs for first-year students in September. Every dollar donated is matched by the Province through the Ontario Trust for Student Support.

President Rob MacIsaac launched a community appeal as part of his April 9 Installation Ceremony. During the Installation Dinner, everyone who donated to the Mohawk Cares awards received a Slow Monday concert t-shirt. Rob and his band Slow Monday performed during the dinner. The t-shirts were designed and printed by Graphic Design students at Mohawk Brantford.
