Abrigo lends Mohawk students a hand and robotic arm

NEW: Brantford Expositor coverage of the Abrigo donation to Mohawk Brantford.

Abrigo Industrial Machines Inc. is donating a robotic arm to be used by students in Mohawk Brantford's Industrial Millwright Packaging and Graphic Design Packaging programs.

The programmable arm, valued at more than $50,000 and measuring approximately 6 feet by 3 feet, will be installed in the Packaging lab at Mohawk Brantford.

"Thanks to Abrigo's generous donation, our students will hone their skills on the same leading-edge technology that they'll use as future-ready graduates working in industry," says Mohawk Brantford Executive Dean Paul Armstrong.

Abrigo builds robotic machinery and automated systems for the food processing industry, secondary packaging and palletizing and produces specialty automated machinery for other industrial sectors.
