Bring your appetite to Ottawa Street North in Hamilton

Students, are you tired of filling up on mac and cheese? How does gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches or pizza hot fresh from a wood-fired stove sound?


This Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 10 of Ontario's best food trucks will park themselves on Ottawa Street North for the Sew Hungry Food Truck and Restaurant Rally 2011, one of the largest food truck gatherings in the province.


Mohawk and McMaster students can ride a free shuttle to Ottawa Street where they can nosh on delicious foods including gourmet grilled cheese, fresh salads, tacos, wood-fired pizza and gourmet cupcakes. Some of the trucks participating in the event include Gorilla Cheese, El Gastranamo Vegabundo, Caplansky's Delicatessen, Cupcake Diner, Bonfire Catering, Smoke's Poutinerie and Sweetness Bakery.


Mohawk students can pick up the free HSR shuttle on the south side of Fennell Avenue, in front of the new H Wing. The shuttle will depart Mohawk at 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m. The return shuttle will run from Ottawa Street at 11:05 a.m., 11:50 p.m., 12:35 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.


Mohawk students at McMaster University can pick up the HSR shuttle on the north side of the Medical Centre, beside the Life Sciences Building (current HSR stop). Trips will depart McMaster at 10:45 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. and return to McMaster from Ottawa at 11:15 a.m., 12:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.


Look for the "OTTAWA STREE FARMERS MARKET" sign in the destination display on each shuttle.
