Celebrate Bike to Work Day with Mohawk College this coming Monday

Eblast_ImageOn Monday, May 27th join hundreds of employees from across the GTHA for Smart Commute’s annual Bike to Work Day, the kick-off group ride that launches Bike to Work Month in June. Cyclists riding from downtown are encouraged to join the festivities at Gore Park from 7:30 a.m.to 8:30 a.m.

Planning to Cycle to Mohawk on Bike to Work Day?

The Sustainability Office will be set up at the Restricted Access Bike Parking Facility, near the C-Wing entrance, at Fennell Campus from 8 a.m. - 11 a.m. with gift bags for participants who left their car behind and cycled to work.

Register yourself or your group on the Smart Commute Hamilton website to win great prizes from Smart Commute. You can participate in organized group rides, take an unguided route supplied by Smart Commute or take your own route and share! Tweet with the hashtags #biketoworkday and #HamOnt and share with @SustainableMoCo and @SmartCommuteHam.

Cycling routes for event are designed to meet commuting needs. This is a great opportunity to see how easy it is to cycle to work, save money, improve your health and help reduce your carbon footprint.
