Center for Entrepreneurship hits a home run with annual pitch competition
The Mohawk College Center for Entrepreneurship (CfE) hosted an exceptional group of new businesses for the "finals night" of its annual pitch competition on March 7. The event showcased the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation of students and community members for the judges and a large audience. This year's competition saw a record number of entries, necessitating additional qualifying rounds to narrow down from six finalists to three winners.
The winners of this year's competition were:
- 1st Place: Me-Tour INC
- 2nd Place: Futuru Inc
- 3rd Place: Balance2us

This year's competition has further solidified the CfE's reputation for launching new businesses. Since its inception, the CfE has played a pivotal role in launching 58 businesses, securing three provincial pitch competition victories, and producing eight of the last ten First Ontario 1 Award Winners.
Led by a team of seasoned entrepreneurs, CfE programs and services are designed to nurture the growth and success of the next generation of business leaders.
The annual pitch competition has continued to grow and evolve and, as the quality of this year's winners demonstrate, CfE has become a breeding ground for business success.
