College partners invest $400,000 to help renew Mohawk College's largest campus

Mohawk received two corporate donations totaling $400,000 this week in support of the college’s Fennell Campus renewal project.

BMO Financial Group donated $300,000 while Great-West Life, Canada Life and London Life contributed $100,000. The donations were recognized by the college with the unveiling of the BMO Financial Group Advisement Centre and the Great-West Life, Canada Life and London Life Training and Conference Room in The Square.

By September, Mohawk will have invested $80 million in the Fennell Campus. Construction is currently underway on an athletics and recreation centre and new labs and classrooms for Mohawk’s Justice and Wellness programs which are relocating from Brantford. The Square was opened in 2011 to offer students one-stop shopping for services previously offered in 17 locations across the campus.

The Fennell Campus renewal project is earning high marks from students, with Mohawk ranking number one in overall student satisfaction for the third consecutive year.
