Congratulations Gabriela Covaci

Congratulations to Gabriela Covaci on being named one of RBC's Top 25 Canadian Immigrants.

The annual awards are a people's choice awards campaign that celebrates inspirational Canadian immigrants who have achieved success and made a difference in the community. Recipients are chosen by the community through online voting.

Gabriela came to Canada from Romania in 2003. Since then, she has strived continuously to bring new and established newcomers together to build a stronger and a more welcoming community. As an Employment Consultant with Community Employment Services at Mohawk, Gabriela works closely with youth, adults, newcomers and internationally trained professionals to overcome barriers to employment. She is also a passionate volunteer and has won numerous awards for community involvement. In addition to working as an employment consultant, Gabriela is also an Instructor with the Faculty of Continuing Education at Mohawk College and an International Language Teacher, Halton and Hamilton District School Board.
