Ontario Government supporting Ontario campuses on GHG reductions 

Mohawk College has installed more than 1,900 solar panels at the Fennell campus to help power what will be Canada's largest net zero institutional building.

The Province this morning announced a $7.4 million investment that will further shrink Mohawk's carbon footprint, reduce energy bills and create new learning opportunities for students. Over the next year, Mohawk will install an electric boiler, upgrade 3 natural gas boilers, add a trailer-sized battery to store electricity at off-peak hours, build a solar panel carport and add 16 more electric vehicle charging stations.
