Help Mohawk Colleges' chief elf deliver toys to every student at a North Hamilton school

Mohawk College Advertising prof Wayne Aubert needs your help to deliver a sleigh full of toys to all 337 students at St. Ann Catholic Elementary in North Hamilton.

Wayne, together with Janet Mannen at the McKeil School of Business, run Mohawk's annual toy drive for St. Ann school and Mountain Kidz Klub. The toys go to some pretty remarkable and resilient kids who've been helping out all year in their classrooms, at their school, at their homes and in their neighbourhood.

On the last day of school before Christmas break, all the students at St. Ann will go to a special assembly in the gym where mountains of backpacks stuffed with toys will be waiting. Mountain Kidz Klub will throw a holiday party where every child will get a gift.

Wayne won't be there this year to help give out the toys. Mohawk's chief elf has a big heart that's in serious need of repair. Wayne is scheduled to undergo open heart surgery at the end of November.

He postponed his surgery in part to make sure all the kids got toys this year.

Here's how you can help that happen (and give Wayne some peace of mind heading into his surgery).

Before the end of November, please do one of three things:

Make a credit card donation online. Every $25 gives one child a new toy and backpack.

Write a cheque, made payable to Mohawk College with toy drive in the memo line, and mail to:
