Honourable Tony Clement invites students and entrepreneurs to first nationwide hackathon

The Honourable Minister Tony Clement, President of the Treasury Board, was at Mohawk College's MEDIC research lab at the Fennell Campus in Hamilton today to announce the Canadian Open Data Experience (CODE) – the country's first national open data hackathon for postsecondary education students, entrepreneurs and innovators. CODE, facilitated by the Minister, is a 48-hour competition hosted by XMG, one of the largest indie mobile gaming studios in Canada, and supported by the Government of Canada. CODE will take place from Feb. 28 to March 2.
