The Hamilton Spectator has this profile on Olympian Clara Hughes who is speaking at Mohawk College's McIntyre Performing Arts Centre this Friday. “I’ve won a lot of races, a lot of Olympic medals, but every medal stands for something," Clara says. " Something you overcome, or battle through. So you show people the joy … and you share the struggle.”
A limited number of $10 tickets are still available for the community event supported by McKeil Marine Ltd. and the Hamilton Spectator. Seating is general admission with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. Clara is donating her speaker's fee to Take a Hike, a Vancouver organization that reaches children at risk through outdoor programs.
