In the news: Class project helps clean up community

The Brantford Expositor has this story about five Mohawk College Advanced Police Studies students who took on a graffiti problem in Brantford and ended up with an $11,000 city-funded project. Students Melanie Bosnjak, Michelle Ulman, Steve Heard, Ryan McDonald and Jeff Lloyd approached Brantford police to find out about the pressing issues facing the city and came away with the idea to tackle a recurring graffiti problem in the city's west end. The student's work paid off and they ended up securing $11,000 from the city and CN Rail to install lighting on a railway underpass near Ava and Paris Roads.
