In the news: Mohawk College sharing technology with African software developers

Mohawk's own Alex Robertson, who works in the College's Help Desk, has been recognized as a Lakeport Hamilton Hero for his ongoing volunteer work with the Special Olympics. Alex will be on the air talking about his volunteer work this Friday (July 23) on Y108 between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. and 900 CHML between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Through the Lakeport Hamilton Heroes Program, $5,000 per week will be donated to an unsung hero in the community who goes above and beyond the call. An additional $5,000 per week will be donated to the CHML Charitable Fund in the hero's name.
