In the news: Mohawk researchers print replica of ancient vase

CBC Hamilton has this story about Mohawk's Additive Manufacturing Resource Centre and Siemens using the College's 3D printing technology to create a replica of a 6,000 year-old Jomon vase from Japan. The vase was scanned using a Siemens CT (computerized tomography) scanner. The data was then used to print a plastic version accurate to the smallest details of the piece. Researchers think the technology could help with the study of ancient artifacts.
