In the news: Mountaineers shoot for the stars

The Hamilton Spectator has this story about the Mohawk Mountaineers' women's basketball team. The team is looking to build on the success of Mohawk's men's basketball team that won provincial and national titles last year. "It gave the girls’ team a sense that it’s in their grasp if they want to dedicate themselves and work at it like the guys did," says coach Kevin Duffy. "It created a buzz. It got the momentum going for this year. Immediately after the guys won, the girls wanted to get back on the court. I got emails saying: ‘Coach, can we start our workouts?’ ”
