The online application is now open for Mohawk College students to apply for the Province's new 30 per cent Off Ontario Tuition Grant.

Aimed at making education more accessible and affordable for Ontario’s families, students can now apply for the new grant worth up to 30 per cent of the average college tuition. Students who receive OSAP will be automatically considered for the grant.

Students could be eligible for 30 per cent off their tuition if:

  • They are a full-time student at a public college or university in Ontario,

  • It's been less than four years since they left high school,

  • They are in a program that they can apply to directly from high school,

  • Their parents' gross income is $160,000 or less.

For the Winter semester, the grant could be worth $365 for college diploma and certificate students and $800 for university and college degree students. Starting in September 2012, the grant for full-time undergraduate university and college students would pay $1,600 a year for students in a degree program at a public college or university in Ontario and $730 a year for students in a certificate or diploma program at a public college in Ontario.
