The Hamilton Spectator has this story about a funding announcement Friday morning at Mohawk College by the Hon. John Milloy, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and the Hon. Sophia Aggelonitis, Minister of Revenue. The Ministers were announcing the third installment of the Ontario government's $60 million College Equipment and Renewal Fund. The announcement took place in Mohawk's Studio One, with 3rd year Broadcasting -- Television and Communications Media students recording and editing the event. Mohawk has invested $400,000 in College Equipment and Renewal funds on state-of-the-art high definition editing equipment in two television studios and a mobile truck used at community and sporting events. Mohawk has received $3 million over the past three years to purchase equipment and technology and further enhance the quality of education for students.
