Jonah Atkins wins national video competition
Student photographer Saad Khan finished second nationally
Jonah Atkins, a student in the Photography Still and Motion program, took top national honours in the Video Short Form category in the 2022 Emerge Media Awards.
Atkins short video, World's Best Dad, is a touching short film about an artist working on his next masterpiece.
Mohawk's Saad Khan was recognized with second place finish in the Commercial/Creative Photography category.
The Emerge Media Awards, sponsored and hosted by the University of Guelph-Humber in Toronto, celebrate and showcase the achievements of Canadian post-secondary students in journalism, photography, graphic design and communications disciplines.
Five student photographers selected as finalists in the national competition. Winners of the 2022 Emerge Media Awards were announced on April 15.
