Music Career Day 2018
Mohawk College, in partnership with the City of Hamilton and Hamilton City of Music, hosted the first Music Career Day Hamilton on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the Fennell campus. The day-long event was an opportunity for aspiring musicians and entrepreneurs to explore what it takes to make it in the music industry. More than 550 students signed up for the event. The keynote speaker was Hamilton's own Tim Potocic, President of Sonic Unyon Records and there were live performances by Basement Revolver, DJ Donna Lovejoy and Mohawk's own West Fifth Trio.
Mohawk College educates and serves more than 29,500 full-time, part-time, apprenticeship and international students at three main campuses in Hamilton, Ontario and learning hubs across Hamilton through City School by Mohawk, and at the College’s Centre for Aviation Technology at the Hamilton International Airport. More than 135,000 people have graduated from Mohawk since it was founded.
