John Marinucci, Past Chair of Mohawk's Board of Governors, this afternoon announced his family foundation has donated $250,000 in support the college's ongoing Fennell Campus Renewal Project. Rob MacIsaac recognized the donation by announcing the dedication of the Marinucci Family Foundation iDeaWORKS Lab in the Mohawk Learning Exchange. Students in the lab work with private, public and nonprofit partners on mobile health and smart energy applied research projects. Since its launch in 2009, 724 students have worked with 74 college partners and secured $7.4 million in outside funding. John joined Mohawk's Board in the Fall of 2009, has served as Vice Chair and Chair and is currently on the search committee for Mohawk's next president. "John has provided invaluable leadership to Mohawk College as a member of our Board of Governors and his family has made a significant leadership gift for the benefit of our students," said Rob, who took part in his last gift announcement as college president.
