Mark your calendars: New centre opening Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. (register online)

All students, alumni, staff and retirees are invited to join the Hon. John Milloy, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, for the grand opening of the new Mohawk Centre for Entrepreneurship, Learning & Innovation on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. at the Fennell Campus. With funding from the Ontario government and a $4 million donation from the late Harold Cummings, Mohawk broke ground on the centre in August 2009. Thousands of students are expected to use the centre daily, which will be home to the new Cummings Library, classrooms, a media lab, an applied research and innovation lab, a "Collaboratory" where students and faculty will work on projects and assignments using the latest multi-media technology, and a Starbucks. Construction of the centre has been on time, on budget and accident free. The new centre marks the start of Mohawk's largest renewal project at the college's largest and oldest campus.
