Ceremonial Opening of The Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation at Mohawk College

Hamilton, ON – Sept. 6, 2018

Mohawk students are getting their first look at Canada’s largest and Hamilton’s first zero carbon institutional building this week with the start of classes at The Joyce Centre for Partnership & Innovation at the college’s Fennell campus.

The cornerstone of the largest renewal of labs and classrooms in Mohawk’s 51-year history, construction on The Joyce Centre began in late 2016 following a $20 million investment by the Government of Canada.

Mohawk will welcome The Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister of Seniors and other federal government representatives to recognize and celebrate the support of the Government of Canada in building this remarkable and game-changing building at a special ceremony on September 10th.
