Media release: L-3 WESCAM donates $100,000 to Mohawk College for scholarships and new equipment

HAMILTON (April 4, 2012) – L-3 WESCAM is donating $100,000 in support of scholarships and new equipment for students in Mohawk College’s Faculty of Engineering Technology.


Twenty $2,000 academic merit scholarships will be awarded over the next five years to students in Mohawk’s Electrical Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs. In addition to donating $40,000 for scholarships, Burlington-based  L-3 WESCAM is contributing $60,000 toward the purchase of new lab equipment.


The scholarship and equipment donation will be announced during an L-3 WESCAM Lunch ‘n Learn session with approximately 100 Faculty of Engineering Technology students at noon on Wednesday, April 4 in room F118 at Mohawk’s Fennell Campus.
