Media release: Mohawk College earns high marks from students in latest provincial survey
April 15, 2015 (HAMILTON) – Hamilton is home to the most satisfied college students in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) for the fifth year in a row.
Mohawk College ranks number one in overall student satisfaction among the six GTHA colleges in the latest Key Performance Indicator (KPI) survey results released today by the Government of Ontario. Mohawk has finished first among GTHA colleges since 2010.
Survey results also show that 85.7 per cent of Mohawk’s most recent graduates found employment within six months of graduation.
Mohawk finished first among GTHA colleges in:
“Our faculty and staff do an outstanding job and continue to earn top marks from our students,” says President Ron McKerlie. “While we’re proud to finish first in the GTHA, we’re committed to doing our best and making Mohawk an even better place to learn for all our students.”
The Government of Ontario and the province’s 24 public colleges have carried out annual Key Performance Indicator surveys since 1998. The most recent KPI survey was administered by two independent research firms from March 2014 to February 2015.
Mohawk College educates and serves more than 22,000 full-time, part-time and skilled trades students at three campuses in Hamilton, Ontario.
