Minister meets with student leaders

A Hamilton Postsecondary Advisory Committee was launched this year by the Hon. Ted McMeekin, Minister of Government and Consumer Services and MPP for Ancaster-Dundas-Flamborough-Westdale, Hamilton Mountain MPP Sophia Aggelonitis, the Mohawk Students Association, the McMaster Students Union and the Redeemer Student Senate.


The committee brings together local student and political leaders to talk about issues and opportunities in postsecondary education. The Hon. John Milloy, Ontario's Minister for Training, Colleges and Universities, joined the committee which was meeting in the Mohawk Student Centre.

The student and political leaders discussed the impact of potential tuition increases on accessibility, pathways for students moving between college and university and infrastructure funding for postsecondary institutions.
