The free white paper helps companies understand how to keep patient data safe and secure.

Mohawk College’s mHealth and eHealth Development and Innovation Centre (MEDIC) has released a white paper that will help Canadian digital health start-ups navigate the complex privacy and consent regulations that help keep patient data secure.

“Navigating Privacy and Consent: A guide for digital health start-ups” is a free 15-page resource developed using the MEDIC’s team applied research expertise in digital health. It was designed as a tool for start-ups and tech companies to use to keep privacy and consent top of mind when creating new health IT solutions.

Globally recognized for its expertise in Digital Health since 2009, MEDIC partners with government institutions, public health teams, clinician groups, researchers, NGOs, and commercial software vendors to accelerate the development of interoperable and secure healthcare IT solutions. MEDIC is also Canada’s Digital Health Technology Access Centre.
