Mohawk appoints Chief Innovation Officer

The Brantford Expositor has this story about a meeting held yesterday morning between senior leadership from Laurier Brantford, Nipissing University and Mohawk College with the members of the caucus of federal Conservative MPs.

"Many colleges in Ontario think of themselves as competitors to universities," said Mohawk President Rob MacIsaac. "We take a very different approach." The College is looking to replicate with Laurier and Nippissing Universities the collaborative partnership that Mohawk and McMaster have forged in health sciences and engineering technology.

Rob added that Mohawk is exploring options for possible expansion in downtown Brantford."We think that being down here in an urban environment opens up lots of partnership opportunities. We would like to find an existing building an adapt it to our own use."
