Mohawk Aviation programs get a lift from Ornge

Sikorsky S76-A helicopter added to Aviation program fleet

Ontario's air ambulance service provider, Ornge donated this decommissioned Sikorsky S76-A helicopter to Mohawk College for use in the school's Aviation program streams. Complete with the latest in avionics technology, the helicopter joins Mohawk's fleet of training aircraft located at the college's training space at the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in Hamilton. The aircraft will be used to train students in Mohawk's Aviation Maintenance and Aviation Structures programs as well as a new Avionics stream arriving in September 2018. Mohawk's Aviation programs are Transport Canada Accredited and will prepare students for certification by Transport Canada as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Aircraft Structures Engineers.
