Mohawk closing in on United Way goal

Staff and students have put Mohawk 93 per cent of the way towards meeting the college's $62,000 campaign goal for the United Way of Burlington and Greater Hamilton. Along with staff payroll deduction, Mohawk has staged a series of fundraisers throughout the Fall.

The students raised the money as part of a class assignment. Teams of students held a raffle and bake sale, did a direct ask for donations and organized a Pay it Forward initiative with a corporate sponsor who donated $200 to the United Way after 200 Mohawk students completed random acts of kindness.
