Mohawk College Advertising students win national awards - win gold for the sixth year in a row

For the sixth consecutive year, a team of Mohawk College Advertising students has won gold at the Canadian Marketing Association Awards.

The team of Ruth Cachero, Yan Chaymann, Sarah Quinto and Jennifer Rienties won gold in the Student Creative category for their WebStream campaign. Algonquin College won silver and bronze.

The Mohawk team of Tara Bryk, Kayla Ciccone and Kirstie Ciccone won silver in the Student Marketing category for their SickKids Foundation campaign. No gold award was presented in the category, with St. Lawrence College winning bronze.

The students were coached by Advertising faculty Janice Warren and Jeff Petrossi, who won an Association of Canadian Community College's Teaching Excellence Award earlier this year.

Mohawk Advertising students have won a total of 28 CMA Awards and last year swept the student awards, winning gold, silver and bronze in both the Creative and Marketing categories.
