Mohawk College named a top employer for the 10th straight year
Forward-thinking employers in the Hamilton-Niagara area are investing in the future by training their employees and investing in upskilling – that’s the message from this year’s Hamilton-Niagara’s Top Employers, announced this morning by Mediacorp Canada Inc., which organizes the Canada’s Top 100 Employers competition. The Hamilton-Niagara winners were announced in a special magazine published by The Spectator.

that is often missing at other workplaces,” said Megan Mascarin, Chief Human Resources Officer.

- As part of the organization's raison d'être, Mohawk College supports lifelong learning with professional development leaves ranging between 1 to 12 months and a range of in-house and online learning options
- Mohawk College provides generous maternity and parental leave top-up payments to its new moms (to 93 per cent of salary for 52 weeks), as well as top-up for new dads and adoptive parents (to 93 per cent of salary for 37 weeks)
- Mohawk College facilitates transparent and ongoing communication with employees through annual town halls and the Ask the President feature on the college's intranet -- new employees are also invited to a virtual breakfast with the president
