Mohawk’s Justin Fyfe has received a Hamilton-Halton’s Top 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Award. These 40 individuals are under 40 years old and consistently make their mark in business and contribute regularly to their communities.

Justin Fyfe is a software architect at Mohawk College, where he has become a dedicated programmer and problem solver, designing eHealth solutions for healthcare providers across Canada. For example, Justin is the lead architect and developer responsible for the Everest Framework, an open source solution that enables software developers from around the world to adopt international healthcare standards into their eHealth and mHealth applications.

Having worked his way from student to analyst to software architect, Justin has won several awards for his skill and commitment to excellence, including President’s Awards at Mohawk in 2009 and 2011 and was part of the team that received Canada Health Infoway Standards Collaborative Peer Award in 2010. He is a member of the Canada Health Infoway Standards Collaborative and COACH (Canada’s Health Informatics Association) and has been a vital contributor to Mohawk’s AppsforHealth conference, a recruiting, networking and knowledge- sharing event for the eHealth/mHealth industry.

When he’s not busy developing new state-of-the art software solutions, Justin is influencing tomorrow’s talent by teaching college courses and mentoring students.
