Mohawk College student exhibition at the Art Gallery of Hamilton

The Art Gallery of Hamilton is now showing Places We Call Home: Mohawk College Student Renderings of Ontario buildings. The exhibition in The Jean and Ross Fischer Gallery runs until Feb. 10 and admission is free courtesy of Orlick Industries. The exhibition showcases the work of students in Mohawk College's Architectural Technician, Technology and Building Renovation programs. Students went across Ontario to draw homes, churches, civic and commercial buildings that illustrate the diversity of architectural styles. Mohawk professor Shannon Kyles asked students to submit their drawings to a competition judged by local architecture and art experts Anthony Butler, Graham Crawford, Robert Hamilton, Craig Simms, and Drew Skuce. The exhibition is supported by the 2012 MaryLynn West-Moynes Grant for Inspiring Learning, Leadership and Citizenship.
