Mohawk College to celebrate seven outstanding alumni Jan. 19

A mother and daughter are among the seven Mohawk graduates to be recognized for their career achievements and community contributions at the Mohawk Alumni of Distinction Awards Dinner Jan. 19 at Michelangelo Event Venue and Conference Centre. 

Sue Prestedge (creative arts and design) and Kate McKenna (recent graduate) will be inducted as Mohawk Alumni of Distinction along with Derrick LaRiviere (technology), Dave Pond (business), Mary Long (community services), Sharon Pierson (health sciences) and Ryan Barichello (entrepreneur).

Tickets are $70 per person and can be ordered online. Mohawk has recognized 80 graduates since the Alumni of Distinction Awards were introduced in 1996.
