Mohawk commuters log more than 6,500 km during Clean Air Commute Week

2012 CAC WinnerMohawk students, faculty and staff logged more than 6,500 km of active or alternative commuting during last months Clean Air Commute week.


A total of 339 Mohawk students, faculty and staff signed up for the annual Clean Air Commute week with 208 reporting at least one active or alternative commute. Overall, Mohawk participants prevented the release of more than 1.68 MT of carbon emissions during the week.


Everyone who logged at least one commute were entered into this year’s bike draw that included a new Raleigh Cyclone mountain bike. This year's winner was Mohawk student Daniel Heersink (pictured right)All other prizes are administered by Pollution Probe. Participants will be notified via email if they are the lucky winner of one of those prizes.
