Mohawk contributes medical supplies to healthcare providers in fight against COVID-19 outbreak

On March 28, a team from Mohawk College made two truck deliveries of medical supplies to the Hamilton Health Sciences donation hub at McMaster Medical Centre.

Over the course of two days, Mohawk employees and campus security staff from Paragon Security collected medical materials from the Fennell and Stoney Creek Campuses and the Institute of Applied Health Sciences. They then delivered the college’s supply of gloves, masks, face shields, gowns and sanitizer in an effort to support healthcare providers dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak in our region.

Included in the delivery were:

  • 322 boxes of gloves
  • 89 boxes of masks
  • 1175 face shields
  • 380 gowns, 100 shoe covers
  • 233 boxes of different disinfectants

Thanks to everyone involved in this exercise, helping to support local healthcare providers as they work to manage the COVID-19 outbreak in our region.
