Mohawk in the news with campus renewal plans

Check out this story in today's Hamilton Spectator. Second-year Child and Youth Worker student Ashleigh Harris shared the stage with New York Times bestselling author, youth advocate and bullying activist Jodee Blanco. Before an audience of more than 1,100 students, faculty, staff and community partners, Ashleigh and Jodee talked about their personal experiences as victims of bullying and rallied the audience to take action.

The free community event was organized by professor Marco Felvus and presented by Mohawk's School of Human Services in the College's McIntyre Theatre.

Watch Ashleigh's talk on YouTube.

UPDATE: March 30 -- The Hamilton Spectator published this editorial thanking Ashleigh for speaking out about bullying.
