Mohawk Media Studies students earn national recognition at 2016 Emerge Media Awards

Mohawk College was well represented at this year's Emerge Media Awards bringing home one first and two second place finishes from the national awards show.

Congratulations to Karlo KingRachel Hamilton and Matthew McDougall on winning 2016 Emerge Media Awards.

Karlo took first place in the videography category for Cut the Cords a video ad he created for BE Headware. Rachel finished second in the graphic / editorial design competition for Hello Giggles, a brochure she created for the competition, and Matthew took second place in the Advertising category for an ad he designed to promote fragrance company Diesel.

The Emerge Media Awards showcase the achievements of journalism, media studies and communications students at colleges and universities in Canada. The awards were presented during a dinner organized by the University of Guelph – Humber College 4th year public relations students.
