Mohawk receives Community in Motion Award from City of Hamilton
The City of Hamilton awarded Mohawk College a Community in Motion Award for Active Transportation at its annual Bike to Work Day event on Monday.
Community in Motion Awards recognize community members and organizations that have gone above and beyond to support and promote the use of healthy, sustainable modes of transportation, including walking, cycling and public transit.
The following individuals and organizations received awards at this year's event:

- Pedestrian Friendly Business/Organization – Mohawk College
- Transit Friendly Business/Organization – Green Venture
- School of the Year – St. Marguerite d’Youville
- Advocate of the Year – Yes We Cannon
- Media Award – Samantha Craggs, CBC Hamilton
