Mohawk receives Community Partnership Award from Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie

The Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie recognized Mohawk College's Brantford Campus and Fanshawe College's Simcoe Campus for their longstanding support of the at the Board's annual Partnership Awards Breakfast held on Tuesday.


Mohawk and Fanshawe shared the Community Partnership Award for their longstanding support and ongoing work with the Board. Both colleges frequently provide facilities and resources for events, have partnered on projects with the Board and participated on committees.


Mohawk has helped the Workforce Planning Board to deliver skilled trades conferences for our young men and women, Skills Canada youth camp, Males in Human Services, and health career fairs. Mohawk has also supported research projects, the most recent of which included a region-wide analysis of the Plastic and Rubber Industry.


Mohawk College award


Jo-Anne Procter, Associate Dean Justice and Wellness Studies, and professors Mike Pearson, Darian Boyington and Linda Whetter accepted the award for Mohawk College. Workforce Planning Board directors Graham Carroll and Jake Francis presented the awards.


The awards are handed out yearly to thank and recognize partners who contribute in a significant way to the Workforce Planning Board's projects, activities and events.
