Mohawk This Week (June 21 to June 28)

Monday, June 21: Start Smart Transition to College for incoming students. A second session is planned for Aug. 31 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, June 23: Strawberry Social fundraiser for the United Way. Prepay at Student Life on Tuesday (rm. F111, Fennell Campus).

Wednesday, June 23: Summer Camp open house from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for parents and campers. Check out Mohawk's summer camp programs, meet the staff and fellow campers.

Thursday, June 24: College & Career Preparation Graduation Ceremony at 11 a.m. in room i131. C&CP is a tuition-free program and the only one in Hamilton where adult learners can achieve college-entry requirements without attending high school classes. Grads leave the program well-prepared to join the workforce or further their studies (many grads go on to achieve honour-roll status at Mohawk).

Friday, June 25: 4th annual David M. Gibson Memorial Golf Tournament in support of student bursaries at the Flamborough Hills Golf and Country Club. For more information, contact Jady (Gibson) Klyve. 

Saturday, June 26: International Trained Immigrants Appreciation Day from 9:30 am. to 1 p.m. at the Fennell Campus. The event includes presentations, discussions and an opportunity to share client success stories. Mohawk is an active partner in the College Integrating Immigrants to Employment Project with SISO. CIITE is funded by the Ontario government to provide internationally trained immigrants with access to college programs and services.

Monday, June 28: All staff are invited to a Retirees Celebration hosted by President Rob MacIsaac for all staff who are retiring this month. The celebration takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in room i131 at the Fennell Campus.
