Mohawk This Week (May 15 - May 22)

Saturday, May 15: 4th Annual Gerald Marshall Fundraising Event (blue jeans barbecue) at the Gerald Marshall Centre for Transportation, STARRT Institute. $50 per person. Doors open at 6 p.m.


Monday, May 17: Hamilton Economic Summit at the Hamilton Convention Centre. Mohawk President Rob MacIsaac and former Dofasco President and CEO Don Pether are honorary co-chairs.


Tuesday, May 18: 200 high school guidance counsellors are taking part in College Dialogue 2010 at the Mohawk STARRT Institute to learn more about Mohawk programs, admission requirements and supports and services for students.


Friday, May 21: Kick-off and media launch for the Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion fundraiser with Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger and Mohawk President Rob MacIsaac. The fundraiser for spinal cord research will take place at Mohawk`s Fennell Campus the 2nd Sunday in June.


Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22: Mohawk Brantford hosts the Canadian Printing Industries Sector Council and Skills Canada national skills competition (also taking place in Waterloo). Winners will compete overseas at World Skills London 2011.
