Mohawk Truck and Coach Technician student wins national scholarship

Congratulations Robert Timofejew, a Level 3 Truck and Coach Technician student, for winning a $2,500 scholarship from Shell Canada and the Heavy Duty Distributor Council. Robert is the second Mohawk College student to compete and win in this national competition that is open to students from all across Canada.

Shell Canada and the Heavy Distributor Council teamed up to sponsor the scholarship to help address the shortage of skilled and technical workers in the trucking industry. Every year, six students enrolled in programs focused on the repair and maintenance of heavy trucks and equipment are selected to receive the scholarship. Winners are chosen based on academic merit, financial need and their commitment to contributing to the success of the trucking industry. Each student receives a $2,500 scholarship.
